Tangle Teezer review

Hey guys!!!

Today’s post is about an item that I absolutely could not live without- my tangle teezer!! Like seriously what did I do before I had this in my life! Now I know there have been loads of reviews over the interweb of this very item but I cannot help but give my own opinion.

As I have stated in various posts I have very oily fine hair but I am trying to grow it out and it gets soooooo super tangled its unreal! I have to sleep with it in a pony tail or it becomes a huge mess in the morning and I can’t brush it out at all. This is where the tangle teezer comes in. The fine bristles of the brush and their plastic texture are amazing! It just glides through the hair painlessly and I find my hair is left super smooth after using it. By using my tangle teezer my hair doesn’t have as much breakage and is left nice and strong instead of being weakened the way a normal brush would when trying to untangle.

I picked up my tangle teezer in Boots for £10.99 and would recommend it to everyone!

milk_shake Conditioning Whipped Cream review

Hello everyone!!!

Today's review is on the milk_shake conditioning whipped cream which I received in the December GlossyBox and I have completely fallen in love with it! Milk_shake are a brand that I had heard of but hadn't actually tried any of their products so when I received this I was quite happy as I really wanted to try it! The idea of putting a conditioning mousse into my hair was a completely new concept for me, I have used mousse in the past to get that amazing volumised look but never for moisture.

"Rich in Milk, Casein and Wheat Proteins this conditioning foam increases and strengthens the internal structure of the hair whilst Vitamins E and B5 condition and smooth the hair leaving it soft, shiny and full of vitality." taken from here.

I really think that this product lives up to what it says. My hair is left super soft and shiny and I do think it has been a lot stronger recently although I think it may take a little while of using this product to see big difference in my hair strength in the long term. Although I have super oily hair, this product has not left my hair greasy at all and I really enjoy using it. The product itself smells amazing!!! Like milkshake, although some might find it a bit sweet to start with once run through damp hair it leaves a lovely scent and I just can't resist smelling my hair throughout the day! Yummy!! The mouse if great as it’s not sticky and doesn’t leave that crispy feeling in your hair!

I have a 100ml bottle and will definitely be repurchasing as soon as I run out! You can pick up a 200 ml sized bottle from Here  for £11.95

Have any of you tried this product? Do you have any reccomendations on other moisturising hair products? Please leave a comment bellow!

Mini Lush Haul

Hello everyone, I thought I would write a mini haul post today. Although I'm on a major spending ban I picked up a few bits that I needed and a few extras to make bath time more interesting.

Fist up I headed straight for my trusty Ultrabland. I bought a pot of this product last year and it lasted me around 6 months. I reviewed the product on my blog in July which can be found here. This time I picked up the 100g pot and I expect it to last quite a while. It cost £10.75 and can be bought direct from Lush.

Next up I purchased Love Lettuce face mask. I've used this mask before and really enjoyed it so thought I would pick it up again. This is what Lush say about their product
"This mask is a seaweed gel with exfoliating granules through it.
Ideal for those who want to clear away dead skin and brighten the face, whilst also gently treating it to softening ingredients." I shall let you know how I get on with it. Love Lettuce face mask cost £5.95 and you can pick it up direct from Lush.

I then pick up a couple of Bath Ballistics, Butterball and Honey Bee. Butterball is a small ballistic which is white in colour and has a vanilla scent it also has little bits of cocoa butter in it which is great for moisturising the skin. I love coming out of the bath all nice and soft and lovely and smelling amazing! Honey Bee is a new ballistic to me as I decided to try something new. I love the smell of honey and this ballistic contains honey, aloe and rhassoul mud which makes it a very soothing ballistic. I look forward to trying it out very soon! Butterball is £2.45 and Honey Bee is £3.15.

Finally I picked up a bubble bar although this one is more of a bubbleroon. I picked up Green Bubbleroon as I was attracted to its fresh smell. I love bubble bars and decided to try this one for a change. Theres nothing quite like a warming bubble bath to cheer you up especially when this one small product will last for quite a few baths. I am really looking forward to trying this product! you can pick it up for £3.25 from here.

I hope you have all enjoyed my small haul. unfortunately these will be few and far between at the moment but I have lots of product reviews coming up in the future.

Take care lovely people!

Happy 2013!!!

Happy new year beautiful people of the Internet!!! 2012 was a pretty good year for me but I'm looking forward to an even better 2013.

This year is the year I move in with my fiancé who iv been long distance with for the past 3 years (we have been together for 4). We move in at the weekend actually which is super duper exciting but also really scary. I'm moving down to Bath to be with him whilst he finishes his Phd. So I'm leaving everyone I know behind and moving to a completely new area with no friends. I plan on keeping you updated on this journey and how I fill my time and try and make new friends. If any of you live in the Bath area and are looking for a short and crazy friend please let me know haha.

This year is also the year I marry said fiancé. This wedding has already been 16 months in the planning with another 8 and a bit months to go. If any of you are interested in wedding related posts please let me know I don't want to bore you all if your not interested.

So now that uni is finished and I'm moving to start my new life soon. I'm really hoping to get back into blogging in a bigger way than ever before. Iv found that over the past year although I've blogged a bit I've never had much consistency so that really needs to change. I need to discover what blogging means to me and to find my own niche. As my blog name suggests I plan on having a lifestyle, love and relationships with beauty thrown in kinda blog. I have a pretty massive obsession with beauty and as much as I love blogs that are all about beauty or fashion I also like to know more about the person behind the blog. So that's what I'm going to try and do for you lovely lot. I'm planning to do a series on how to be in a long distance relationship and make it work. I think I'm somewhat of an expert and its really unbelievable how many of you out there are in a LDR and it's so hard when the people around you don't know what your going through so I'd like to help you all and give you some tips on how to make it work based on what has worked for me.

So I think I shall leave this post here as it is pretty long. The next time I blog shall be from my new home at the start of next week. Until then take care pretty people!!

Exam procrastination post!!

It's half past 9 on a Wednesday morning and I'm still lying in bed with my dressing gown on writing a  (some might say needless) blogpost. Why? Because I don't want to study. Because the thought of studying just make me want to raid the biscuit tin and it depresses me. I'm not sure if I'm the only one who gets like this around exam time especially in December. This is the first year since I started Uni that we have had December exams and I really am hating it this year, at this time of year I should be putting up the Christmas tree and drinking mulled wine not breaking out in stress spots and contemplating how much I feel like I'm going to fail.....how does everyone do this year after year?  But I need to look on the bright side. One week from today I will have finished my last exam ever!!! Uni will be over with and I will no longer be in a long distance relationship. I can take a trip to Edinburgh Christmas market (which is amazing) and drink a massive cup of mulled wine. I can wrap all the presents sitting in my room that at the moment are staring at me saying wrap me wrap me as my procrastination leads me to believe.

But for now I must get my head down, I must study hard, I will pass my exams well and know all I need to know. Then finally I can once more become embroiled in my blog and the blogging world.

For all of you studying for exams get your head down and good luck. For everyone enjoying the Christmas spirit have fun and be safe I will be joining you in a week!!!!

Soap and Glory Flake Away review

Last week I felt that my skin was in need of a pick me up, so I headed into Boots for a body scrub. As I love Soap and Glory products I headed straight for them, now S&G have quite a few scrubs to choose from so I decided to pick up a travel sized version of Flake Away to try before I purchased a large sized product. I was not dissapointed in the slightest with this product. In the tub the product smells quite strong although it is a nice smell. It has a gel type consistency and contains shea butter ( which is super moisturising), sugar and peach seed as the exfoliants. On the skin the product turns slightly milky, but boy does it exfoliate! With this product a little really does go a long way so don't over do it! I bought mine for £2.50 for a travel size. The large size is £7 and I think I'll be popping into boots for it very soon!

My haircare Routine

My main haircare routine consists of 5 products which I find give me the perfect style and texture.

First up is Shampoo and Conditioner- John Frieda Full repair. I love these products, I started using it almost a year ago and have never looked back. Since I had dyed my hair blonde last summer its been really dry and frizzy at the ends and these products have been fab at conditioning my hair and making it so sleek and moisturised.

Next up is the John Frieda Sheer mist- I spray this through the mid-lengths and ends of my hair after towel drying and allows my Tangle Teezer to glide through with ease since my hair is extremely tuggy. This also leaves my hair soft and shiney.

I then spray my hair with Vo5 Plump it up amplifying blow dry spray- This product gives my hair volume and lots of it! I spray it through my roots and it just helps to build volume all through my roots.

Finally I run some Berber oil through my hair before blow drying which leaves it super soft and shiny! I wrote a review for it here .

and then I blow dry and either straighten or curl my hair and voila gorgeous soft flowing hair! Let me know what products you use so I can check them out.
